Travel 25 Years is about the travelling life of Marc Latham, who made his first independent trek as a Kerouac-inspired hitch-hiking vagabond in 1987/88, and commemorated its twenty-fifth anniversary with low-budget trips to Brittany, Barcelona and Norway/Sweden in 2012/13; places he’d missed on his first journey around Europe and the Middle-East.
In-between, Marc travelled to over fifty countries on all the populated continents. There were two other big journeys, from 1988 to 1991 and 1993/94, and there have been many shorter ones since.
Marc reached his original inspiration Jack Kerouac‘s last age of 47 during the twenty-fifth anniversary, as well as completing his final anniversary journey days before the end of his third passport.
This blog will focus on photos from the journeys, as well as some information and descriptions, working backwards from the most recent trips to the oldest.
