San Agustin, Columbia, Archaeology Photos

I visited San Agustin in Columbia in 1994, and just saw on Wikipedia its archaeology was made a UNESCO World Heritage site the year after. As with the Incas farther south, human and animal designs dominate. Here’s three photos I took:

Latest UFO News Complemented by Historic Astronaut Alien Accounts

In the current social media ‘fake news’ age the truth is ever harder to distinguish, and that’s why I think my parodymeter is a useful tool. I bet Silicon Valley wish they’d thought of it first; which scores very highly on the parodymeter. Elon Musk was too busy building electric cars and space rockets, and missed out on the techno invention of the century; which scores even higher on the parodymeter!!

Los Angeles U.F.O.

Funnily enough, a couple of my main topics from last year were linked in December, when a U.F.O. with a bright massive glowing tail was seen by many residents of L.A. and then explained as a rocket launch by Elon Musk’s SpaceX company.

I think that’s a credible account of what was seen, although I’d have thought there would have been more reporting of it prior to the event, both so people could watch, and to warn those driving etc; as there were reported to have been crashes caused by distracted drivers.

My U.F.O. Research is as a PhD Graduate

Although my third of a trilogy book had an X-Files theme it was more about comedy wordplay than spaceships and aliens. I don’t sensationalise U.F.O.s, and treat them with my PhD research trained scrutiny. I usually put strange shapes on other planets down to geology, and know there’s a lot of space junk out there now, but when astronauts and pilots report U.F.O.s I take notice.

I had largely lost interest in U.F.O.s when I wrote XaW Files, but the new Quest series this year with all the latest footage complemented by historic cases has reignited it. Of course, people with the Discovery channel might have been seeing this much more, with many series such as Ancient Aliens on the channel.

Some U.F.O. theorists claim NASA hasn’t returned to the moon because there were alien spaceships there, supported by some astronaut testimony, such as Apollo 11’s Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin and Apollo 14’s Edgar Mitchell. I guess like with a lot of theories, time will answer that. If we do go back as apparently planned, and provide credible film footage, then it will disprove that theory.

I am most interested in U.F.O.s that travel at speeds and with movements beyond what humanity has currently revealed; travelling great sky distances in an instant, seeming to disappear and without leaving signs of movement; with a long history of such sightings going back to at least the 1940s, and some recently filmed. Footage released by the Peruvian air force and Chilean navy were two of the most recent encounters with crafts displaying extraordinary manoeuvrability. Their governments apparently have a more open policy about U.F.O.s than the U.K. and U.S.A.

I didn’t know the area I grew up in is a U.F.O. hotspot until seeing some books on Amazon about it a couple of years ago. I once saw a light in the sky on the western horizon, which looked like a star until moving fast, travelling north with erratic disappearing and appearing movements around that time. That was the height of my UFO experience, and the closest I’ve ever been; although I have had bouts of sleep paralysis, which some think explain many close encounters.

If there are U.F.O.s they seem to be quite friendly, as they are quite obviously more advanced if they can ‘study’ us without us knowing much about them; although there have been some reports of life being harmed. We of course harm other life on Earth, but the majority of us try to preserve what we can.

Maybe they are like us with other animals on Earth, studying and preserving us as we do with other life; and if there have been alien crashes, such as reported in Roswell in 1947, then it’s like one of our planes crashing into the sea, or a wildlife park. Maybe we to them are like fish seeing scuba divers or submarines passing their locality in the ocean, or undiscovered tribes seeing our planes flying over them.

For the most part we can just watch and wonder, but sometimes their higher technology will fail them, and they’ll crash into our world. That’s just a little theory though, and I keep an open mind.

I could write that I took my Nazca Lines photos from a UFO in 1994, but in reality it was just from the tower there, and I didn’t even take a flight over them. I was very interested though, but put them down to human construction rather than alien landing sites, as claimed in a best-selling book by von Daniken.

Lake Titicaca Sunset Photos

Especially for those missing the POP (PinkyOrangePurple) times in old-fashioned greenygrey Blighty weather; with the traditional sky evidence that the greenygrey had nothing to do with causing the weather it depicted, as its Yellow rebranding has not created sunnier weather; and also for everybody else, here’s one of my favourite sunset photos from my travels, taken at Lake Titicaca on the Peruvian – Bolivian border in 1994:

Lake Titicaca is arguably the highest navigable lake in the world and biggest in South America. When I was there it looked green in some parts during daylight, due to algae.

The lake looked clear and ‘normal’ in other parts:

Some people (Uros) live on islands made from totora reeds. They also make boats from the reeds (that’s not a reed boat in this photo!):

Animals and Sun: Remembering Religion Unspun?

The earliest religions in the Middle-East and the Americas both worshipped nature they could see; like darts legend Bobby George; in the sky, water and on the Earth. There are remarkable similarities in the religions of the world, such as across the Atlantic, although they are not supposed to have had any contact until Europeans crossed about half a millennium ago.

Meghan Markle’s Handbag… Of No Interest

If you’re more interested in Meghan Markle’s handbag than this, you’re probably in the wrong place, but this post just might show you where your tastes come from, and why you are attracted to such things… going back to the ancient gods… or space race.

One of the most amazing similarities in the ancient worlds that didn’t have any known connection is that both Sumerians and Mayans were shown carrying similar handbags, and they are also inscribed on the top of relatively recently discovered Gobekli Tepi stones (close to the Sumerians in ancient Mesopotamia, Middle-East, but half way across the world from the Mayans in Mesoamerica), built 12,000 years ago, when there were only supposed to be hunter-gatherers around; and thousands of years before creation according to the later monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam in that order; I’m none really, although am Christian by birth).

ancient handbag

The first monotheistic religion was arguably the ancient Egyptian, started by Akhenatan, who declared himself the son of the sun (Aten), the one and only god. There were also similarities across the Atlantic in sun and animal worship, as shown in this image from the Ancient Connections website:

They also have relevance for my decade-long greenYgrey website idea, and story development. The Greenygrey started off as one, before splitting into two, divided by the Y, making a triptych 3, which partly symbolised the yellow sun.

I’ve been open to those ideas through the media all my life, and have been to Egypt and the Americas too, so I have absorbed quite a lot of information over my lifetime, but when I saw the above image last week connecting the Middle-East and Americas I thought it was particularly reminiscent of how the greenYgrey ended up; and how I and Blighty; and the i in Blighty; are between them too, unevenly in the middle, like the Y in greenYgrey.

The greenYgrey was always meant to be a sun wolf anyway, but that was more down to my preference for the sun over the moon, and daytime to night. Not to mention being contrary to the normal wolf image; but not me being the King Contrary man like Mourinho (whose honesty in discussing his injury list shows why in religion many are attracted to the anti-Christ, viewing the Church; or its representatives at least; to have become dishonest, misleading and out of touch – hiding or demonising the ancient religions and wisdom is one example), oh no, just coffilosopher contrary… but a rather good one, up there with the great songwriters at least – although they can write music too!

Rio de Janeiro from Christ Statue Photos

Having previously posted one photo from my trip to the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro in 1994, here’s the rest:

Coati Quality (Coality) Time at Iguazo Waterfall Photos

I had a nice day at the Iguazo waterfalls in 1994, with the bonus of meeting a friendly coati. I’d previously seen properly wild ones in the Pantanal, but this one looked used to human treats:

You can see Iguazo best from afar in Brazil, and close-up in Argentina:

South American Native People Photos

The Americas have had their problems, and rivalries, same as elsewhere in the human world. The native people have suffered the most, but are still surviving, and as I wrote previously, Evo Morales has become President of Bolivia since I visited. Here’s some photos of the native people in South America:

I think this one was taken on the way to the Colca Canyon to see the condors near Arequipa in Peru:

Americas Bird Photos

Ben Fogle recently joked about watching birdlife with a double meaning of women on his programme New Lives in the Wild, so it must be okay, but I have no need to do it in this blog post, as it just features birds of the flying kind.

These photos were taken in the Santa Rosa park in Costa Rica’s north-west. I think I just found out twenty-three years later it’s a white-throated magpie jay, and a cover star of the park’s speciality birds. The name reminds me that I also saw beautiful blue jays and redolent red cardinals in North America.

These were taken in Peru’s Colca Canyon, near Arequipa, below Lima. I stayed in a village near the canyon the night before, as the condors emerge early, getting a memorable view of the night sky in all its glory from the Andean mountains with little light pollution; the village didn’t have electricity, just using candles and torches for light. I saw this bird of prey first and thought it might be a condor:

But when the condor arrived, it was so much bigger, I knew it was the real thing:

Reluctantly Enlightened World Experiencer: Putting Pseudo-Alphas in Their Place, with 1994 Native Bolivian Solstice Photos

In my list of inspirations for staying out of trouble yesterday, and ignoring the baiters; Nietzsche superman, Martial Arts control and Christian turning the other cheek; I forgot Buddhist Enlightenment. For most of my travels and university life I was more into lazing and partying than learning and participating, but I usually went along with it as much as my mind would, learnt what I could and added it to my life experience.

My Life, My Mind, My Writing

Some things I chose to do myself, either learning about them from the media or other people; while other things I followed others; the good I followed didn’t expect anything in return, the bad amongst them seemed to think they were buying shares in me, like an investment banker; yes, they were mostly from the fake university and counterculture localities, epitomised by Russell Brand, who think they are so above everybody else they replace a plain and simple cash economy for a favours one, and as they are so at the top as pseudo-alphas of their pseudo communities they think every body owes them, and they owe nobody!

I did have some nice times in the Yorkshire countryside with them, and at parties they threw (I now view the parties as their  investments attempts, and saw them then as power plays), on their initiative, but that was all, and it was just stuff I’d done before all my life, and all around the world; adding to my life experiences rather than a ‘big bang’ or ‘revolution’.

I grew up in a small town with a hippy commune on its doorstep, and lots of counterculture people in the hills surrounding it; and their offspring; who’d dropped out and escaped there in the 1960s and 1970s. After getting into rock and metal in 1980, I always had one foot in the ‘town’ and one in the ‘counterculture’, until giving it up altogether around 2000.

Adding another space-life metaphor, to my ‘Event Horizon’ for that time when you’re drunk at the point of being paralytic, and want to stay there, and think you can, but the gravity drag of oblivion is too strong; or the greenYgrey world starting with a BB and ending with a supernova.

The metaphor is that I think I and most people feed off other people that inspire them; or irritate them, as negative energy can work the other way, propelling you in a different direction; as humanity has learnt to use the gravity of other planets as a kind of slingshot to propel their craft faster and farther, such as Cassini, which used Venus as a gravity assist to fuel it to the outer solar system, where it found geyser plumes on Enceladus and methane lakes on Titan.

As an aid to memory
remembering greenYgrey history
with acronymony rather than acrimony
geyser plumes on Enceledus is GPE
neighbour to general post office GPO
while methane lakes on Titan is MLT
like a moon to bacon. lettuce. tomato BLT.
(The first greenYgrey ramble remembered North America by acronym creation)

Voyager 2 also did this:

I’ve met some nice and inspiring people during the greenYgrey years, such as younger members of my demographic in work such as PS and LM, who I think need ‘Google-style work environments’ to be happy and fulfil their potential; and higher managers like S and C, or junior managers like N and K, who were nice to the end; like me and Asperger’s sufferer Chris Packham, as he said in his documentary, and I’ve hinted at before in my blog posts and of course my greenYgrey trilogy travelled mostly by Google Maps.

I thought Google opening a digital garage in the city I live in, the city of [Chilis song]) might be my ticket out, but a non-white-male similar to bullies at university who consider you racist if you don’t do what they want, and gay if you do (their homophobia) dampened the enthusiasm of a woman who’d been positive, by saying it was making fun of people and places – an example of the political correctness that only seems to work one way, and why I now largely distrust and dislike that demographic, when I was very positive towards them until Multicultural Fascism, and working with them at university and in their locality (where white people don’t usually want to go, as they face constant prejudice and persecution by some, while others from their local demographics are nice and positive, and some are even critical of the new immigrants just wanting an easy time, when they arrived in the Windrush 1950s, when the Establishment was sending white British children to be abused elsewhere in the Commonwealth – making me wonder if New Labour’s Multicultural Fascism in the 1990s was the end game of a mixing ethnicities Establishment policy started in the 1950s – maybe intended for good reasons in response to the Nazis one-race policy, but often causing and ending in sadistic child abuse no better than the Nazis, and the race tensions, conflicts and terrorism threats now).

Time for New Inspiration: such as Evo Morales

Evo Morales 2011.jpg

I have tried to be a man-of-the-people, and servant to women, but I feel that now I must try to write from where I feel my head is, in the enlightened clear sky above the clouds of culture; rising above the Islamism that the Establishment is trying to introduce as the next big cloud; keeping the masses in the dark battling about whose monotheistic god is the best, while the elite hold on to their greater knowledge and truth, from a time before that, when humanity thanked the sun during the day, and studied the stars at night.

In 1994 I went to my first ‘pagan’ prehistoric site, not having got to the Stonehenge Festival, as many ‘hippies’ from my town did each year. The native Bolivians on the edge of La Paz just used plants for their solstice rituals at Tiwanaku, replacing animal sacrifices, showing a civil consideration many other religions (kosher and halal barbaric killing policies) could learn from.

I was delighted native Bolivian, Evo Morales, was elected president in 2006, twelve years after my visit, and is still in office. I would have liked to have been like that with my writing, but the British Establishment doesn’t seem as benign as the Bolivian, and/or the British people not as strong and/or intelligent! Multicultural Fascism clouded out class identity and communities, and the media call native white rights racist!!

As I remember it I heard about it from other travellers in the hotel I was staying at, and went with them, quite reluctant to get up early to catch the bus out to the site (same for the El Choro trek) for the two-hours journey west to Tiwanaku, more interested in watching the 1994 World Cup, but I would be back for the games that day.
