Especially for those missing the POP (PinkyOrangePurple) times in old-fashioned greenygrey Blighty weather; with the traditional sky evidence that the greenygrey had nothing to do with causing the weather it depicted, as its Yellow rebranding has not created sunnier weather; and also for everybody else, here’s one of my favourite sunset photos from my travels, taken at Lake Titicaca on the Peruvian – Bolivian border in 1994:
Lake Titicaca is arguably the highest navigable lake in the world and biggest in South America. When I was there it looked green in some parts during daylight, due to algae.
The lake looked clear and ‘normal’ in other parts:
Some people (Uros) live on islands made from totora reeds. They also make boats from the reeds (that’s not a reed boat in this photo!):
