Spring Equinox Here, in Northern Hemisphere: Free Vitamin D

The Spring Equinox is here, a day earlier than normal although not uncommon, in the Northern Hemisphere, as appropriately reported in The Sun, including a nice POP (PinkyOrangePurple) Stonehenge photo, and explanation that it’s caused by the way planet Earth travels around the sun.

So I can hereby declare the continuation of the closing ceremony for the first full mistYmuse (Midwinter Ideal Sunrise Times [November 21st to January 21st] – Midwinter Until Spring Equinox [January 21st to March 21st]) winter light festival.

It started yesterday on fmpoetry with some selfYsun-love art branding I did during the festival, and that have now just fully healed, after the last ones were done two months ago.

More Sun than SAD 

I hope mYm helped those who suffer from SAD (Seasonally Affective Disorder) in the most challenging four months of the year, and entertained everybody.

The weather has been pretty average overall, a mild winter here, but as I’ve stated before, it’s about light rather than weather anyway. Our light is predictable, whereas weather fluctuates. This has been proved true over the last month.

It seemed love was in the air in romantic Valentine February, as the sun shone bright and temperatures rose much higher than normal, but then March saw a return to wintry weather. Thankfully, sun and warmer weather have now returned.

New buds are opening, and there’s a whole lotta photosynthesis going on!

Predictable Light 

Whereas the weather has been unpredictable, light has continued spreading earlier and later in the day, as shown on the met office weather forecast:

It seems a long way from the midwinter December 21st ideal sunrise times of about 08.30, followed not long after by the sunsets of about 15.45.

That was captured for posterity in January (better late than never) on my fmpoetry website, with the sunrise and sunset at the bottom of the screen then; and a bit of an earlier sunrise and later sunset than their late December latest and earliest.

Both those weeks also have mostly cloudy weather, which inspired my Greenygrey original idea, putting a positive green land spin on the normally grey weather, also hoping to conserve green spaces and trees; and some sunshine, which was the main weather reason for putting the Y into the ascendency with the greenYgrey rebranding.

In human terms it was both to support blonde women and show I wasn’t after non-blondes when the Establishment sent me to work in the ‘multicultural’ area of Leeds; or interested in seeing their hair, as some Islamists tried to make out my support for feminists fighting Islamist sexism was all about. Ironically, one of those women told me they don’t like ‘Jews’ around there – probably trying to get Jihadi ‘stripes’ and impress her male controllers!!

When the Earth was still clean and pure, civilisations either side of the Atlantic and Pacific worshipped the sun, moon and stars; using them to live with and amongst nature on Earth.
Unfortunately, they also did do some damage to nature, leading to them collapsing in the end.
We still haven’t learnt the lesson!

UFOs: UK Best 100 Cases Documentary

Channel 5 in the UK had a good two hours collection of UFO videos called 100 UFOs Caught On Camera this week, available to watch until March 23rd, but just in UK I think. At least half were really good ones; crafts or lights moving at speeds and angles beyond known human capability, and some looking really big.

One of the best new ones for me, for its veracity; others were more spectacular, but seemed possible fakes or could have been planes, birds or insects; was a National Geographic one. I didn’t even know they had a documentary series about UFOs. Here it is on YouTube:

If you can slow it down, it does really look like a classic big spinning disk with windows/lights.

The editor has commented below it, verifying it as well. Although National Geographic has a good scientific brand reputation, others have fallen below expected standards, so it could all be fake, but as far as I know and think, it looks and sounds genuine.

The Ocean Above: My Personal Theory of Space

Together with the rest of the cases in the programme and elsewhere I think there’s definitely something happening in our sky, atmosphere and space, but don’t know what. I think that’s because it’s currently beyond humanity, as far as I know, rather than there being nothing out there.

The same goes for inside the head, which I investigated a lot in my writing. Advances in science are now answering some of the old philosophical questions. I’ve included both, in greenYgrey and PinkyOrangePurple (POP) technicolour, looking for reflections in the folding mirrors:

Space Travellers

As a video I featured on fmpoetry during the Y-day pre-party showed, we are all travellers through space, on our planet, and in our solar system:

Moreover, our brains are like miniature galaxies, as an article and simulation of a black hole forming on MSN made me think that’s how my mind is working while thinking of new concepts and connections while gYgPOPing.

Happy New Year 2018: Y-Day Rebranded Y-Dawn

Warning: this blog post scores 50% on the all-new for 2018 parodymeter, meaning you have half a chance of taking it all too seriously.

Happy New Year 2018 to all greatolosolous greenYgreyliens and pluckylicious POPolutionaries. Here’s a great gYgPOP scene from the Stonehenge Tours website to wake the new year up:

It is already more than a fortnight after Midwinter and just over a fortnight until Y-dawn (hot off the press rebranding from Y-day) on January 21st. Y-dawn is the most important date in the mistYmuse calendar, marking the end of the M.I.S.T (Midwinter Ideal Sunrise Times) period (November 21st to January 21st), and beginning of the M.U.S.E (Midwinter Until Spring Equniox) months (January 21st to March 21st).

While the Y did not bring precision balance to the greenYgrey (5-1-4 letters sequence), it did to the mistYmuse (4-1-4), which could be its creator; remembering the symmetry aimed for and achieved by the ancient Egyptians and Incas thousands of miles apart, and apparently without contact, featured previously in the animals and sun spirituality blog.

I know it won’t make a big difference to your life, but hopefully it provides a little extra support for the interested, to mentally and physically survive the four bleakest weather months in Blighty and the northern hemisphere.

As I know from my endurance running, and weights before it, it’s often good to divide training and goals into shorter periods, and I think the winter is similar. We already have many celebrations to pass the end of the year, but nothing much at the start of the year. Now, those who follow this blog do, if they so choose.

In line with my role as mistYmuse PoPPy (Perfect Pagan Prophet) prefect (with a certain amount of self-parody, about 50% on the parodymeter [another new self-proclaimed genius innovation] I’d say), I won’t be doing anything to celebrate Y-dawn, but please do have a good time without me!

Happy Solstice, Nature Beyond

Happy Solstice to everybody, with today marking midwinter, the shortest day, with least light and most darkness, because of the way our planet Earth tilts as it travels around our star, which we call the sun. It’s a cloudy day here, with no sun, which looking on the positive side, shows that nature is above and beyond humanity, doing what it wants when it wants, and that we have to adapt our lives to it, rather than the other way around.

It was mainly a celebration because it marked the winter being half over. In the greenYgrey world it is also known as the MIST (Midwinter/Most Ideal Sunrise Time); nature has had the last laugh today, as it is weatherly misty rather than acronymly MISTy, and looking on the bright side of mist, I chuckle along with it.

Sorry if you made a special effort, and wanted sunshine, which is one reason why I don’t make a big deal about it; because I know by now that nature is a law unto itself. There have been many wonderful sunrises and sunsets this winter, and I’ve enjoyed seeing them, and other people’s photos of them online and on television. They’ve all been POP (PinkyOrangePurple) rather than rare red (now known in the gYgPOP twilight vocabulary as rared – a new self-proclaimed genius wordplay word to mark the occasion!).

Responsible Leader not Mindless Follower

Some double-negatives consider me a follower of others, while others think I’m trying to start a cult; maybe some double-negatives doubly-negatively think I’m both.

In fact I’m neither, or a little of each, but no more than any other blogger, or doctor of philosophy ones anyway! My attitude to solstices and other events such as today is proof of that… to me anyway, as I know how I thought, and what I did.

After visiting Avebury and Stonehenge on the winter solstice in the early years of the Greenygrey I saw the opportunity for creating interest, with lots of crowds, and growing each year.

So I could have become a regular, hoping for ‘celebrity’ status, but haven’t been to one on a notable day such as this since.

I thought that although stone circles and other historic structures are amazing, and worth visiting, they are only humanity’s instruments to measure and worship the real deal: nature and the universe.

I am not The Cult; or referencing them for any Cultists

I re-watched The Sky at Night yesterday, and saw/remembered they’d named the new-found aurora light Steve. It has been found since the greenYgrey joined the PinkyOrangePurple in the sky, so I could claim it as the miracle child of gYgPOP, especially as it’s been announced at this special time of miracle birth.

However, I will leave it to the scientific explanation that it’s been there for a while but has only just been noticed because people are taking more photos.

I will just add that I call it Stevie as well, for all the females out there; especially named after Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac and solo artist fame. Here’s some screenshots from the show of Steve/Stevie, which could be interpreted as gYgPOP miracle birth baby photos:

Animals and Sun: Remembering Religion Unspun?

The earliest religions in the Middle-East and the Americas both worshipped nature they could see; like darts legend Bobby George; in the sky, water and on the Earth. There are remarkable similarities in the religions of the world, such as across the Atlantic, although they are not supposed to have had any contact until Europeans crossed about half a millennium ago.

Meghan Markle’s Handbag… Of No Interest

If you’re more interested in Meghan Markle’s handbag than this, you’re probably in the wrong place, but this post just might show you where your tastes come from, and why you are attracted to such things… going back to the ancient gods… or space race.

One of the most amazing similarities in the ancient worlds that didn’t have any known connection is that both Sumerians and Mayans were shown carrying similar handbags, and they are also inscribed on the top of relatively recently discovered Gobekli Tepi stones (close to the Sumerians in ancient Mesopotamia, Middle-East, but half way across the world from the Mayans in Mesoamerica), built 12,000 years ago, when there were only supposed to be hunter-gatherers around; and thousands of years before creation according to the later monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam in that order; I’m none really, although am Christian by birth).

The first monotheistic religion was arguably the ancient Egyptian, started by Akhenatan, who declared himself the son of the sun (Aten), the one and only god. There were also similarities across the Atlantic in sun and animal worship, as shown in this image from the Ancient Connections website:

They also have relevance for my decade-long greenYgrey website idea, and story development. The Greenygrey started off as one, before splitting into two, divided by the Y, making a triptych 3, which partly symbolised the yellow sun.

I’ve been open to those ideas through the media all my life, and have been to Egypt and the Americas too, so I have absorbed quite a lot of information over my lifetime, but when I saw the above image last week connecting the Middle-East and Americas I thought it was particularly reminiscent of how the greenYgrey ended up; and how I and Blighty; and the i in Blighty; are between them too, unevenly in the middle, like the Y in greenYgrey.

The greenYgrey was always meant to be a sun wolf anyway, but that was more down to my preference for the sun over the moon, and daytime to night. Not to mention being contrary to the normal wolf image; but not me being the King Contrary man like Mourinho (whose honesty in discussing his injury list shows why in religion many are attracted to the anti-Christ, viewing the Church; or its representatives at least; to have become dishonest, misleading and out of touch – hiding or demonising the ancient religions and wisdom is one example), oh no, just coffilosopher contrary… but a rather good one, up there with the great songwriters at least – although they can write music too!

Australian Sunset Photos for POPolutionaries: Has Amber Heard?

I saw several stories I thought I should comment on, but then remembered I’m in the POP age now, so I should just ignore the chatter, even if Reggie Yates (will Chuku Umunna call him vile like he does Donald Trump?) and Lily Allen stories showed why I was right to criticise Russell Brand’s revolutionaries. I also watched The Riot Club recently, which I think showed the kind of revolutionary riot culture Brand stands for, and where most of his supporters come from; a kind of Marquis de Sade – Aleister Crowley do what thou wilt (rich and/or manipulative men) ethos.

If women like that then fine, but from the post-Weinstein scandal fall-out it doesn’t seem to be for most of them, although they think they have no choice at the time.

I did once joke that my L.A. metal name would be Marcy de Sad (inspired by names from bands like Guns N’ Roses, Faster Pussycat and Love/Hate), combining my name, wordplaying on Sade and incorporating my bipolarity; and I think humans should be as free as possible to do what they want, like Crowley, but without harming anything else.

My Ethical Celibacy Positive Twisted Weird Negative

In total contrast, I thought I should ask you to let Amber Heard know about this blog post, with parody comedy based on real amour (thinking Pepe Le Puy!), using the parodying Twitter viralism hashtag #hah (has amber heard), as she’s apparently in Oz now, but then thought she should know by now (Hank Melvin’s song, written by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, comes to mind; by the way, I added that Jagger was particularly greenYgreying and that ‘summer’ should be changed to ‘winter’ in yesterday’s blog post; not that I prefer winter to summer, quite the opposite in fact, and for negative-greenYgrey conspiracy theorists, Jagger is still going strong, while the Starman has unfortunately passed away, albeit at the grand old age of 70; If you don’t know me by now), and must think I’m not worthy of romance. I was thinking fondly of Cressida Bonas last week too, but guess she doesn’t think of me as a true blue!

Those types of women have always been my favourites, with early versions Debbie Harry, Brigitte Bardot and Britt Eklund. I liked ABBA’s Agnetha when I was 10 because of her face and hair, not the apparently large bum she’s got; that I hadn’t even noticed until watching recent documentaries about her.

While I’ve been concentrating on sunrises over the last decade I was more of a sunset person before, due to being more of a night-owl than an early-bird. Here’s some photos I took in Australia in 1989, showing I loved natural beauty back then too, before I met all the people from the 1990s who think they’re a big influence on me, with the first one a true Blue Peter POP (PinkyOrangePurple) one I made before:

 

Super Moon Between Two Successful Sunrise and Sunset POPs: sMs

There was a hat-trick of sky beauty yesterday and today, as a POP (PinkyOrangePurple) sunset was followed by clear sky for the super moon, and then this morning there was another sensational POP sunrise, starting at about 7.45am, before the sun rose about twenty minutes later – and then it was time to look away.

In greenYgrey (gYg) acronym parlez the sunrise-moon-sunset would be shortened to sMs, with sms also an acronym for short message service – a recent BBC news feature was about why people still text. A photo from Washington featured on MSN seemed to include them all together in one; what could be called a POP moon:

POP Skies the new POP Music

The heading of the article reminded me of the song Dancing in the Streets, with Mick Jagger and David Bowie including a lot of great greenYgreying in their video; especially Jagger’s clothes.

Replace ‘summer’ with ‘winter’, ‘dancing’ with ‘POPing’ (pronounced popping), and ‘music’ with ‘clear skies’, and you’ve got a great POP version!

This is all written from a parody comedy angle of course. I don’t want to replace pop or rock music, especially with the greenYgrey world in the human one ending in the ABBA age!

Next month there’s a wolf moon and blue moon. As expertly explained on BBC news this morning, the wolf moon derives from Native American culture, as wolves are said to howl more poignantly in cold January, when food is scarce and they struggle to survive; while the blue moon is because it’s the second one in January, falling on the last day, so February will not have one, and that’s why there is the saying, ‘Once in a blue moon’: because having two full moons in one month is quite rare.

Moreover, in the greenYgrey world it will see the transition from MIST to MUSE (Midwinter Until Spring Equinox [around March 21st, when the days are equal light and dark]), with the four months known together as mistYmuse. Y-day is on January 21st.

Sky Highlights, December 2017

Before that, it looks like there’ll be a great pre-POP morning sky mid-month, as reported on Cosmic Pursuits:  ‘As it makes its way eastward along the ecliptic, the thin crescent Moon lies just 5º to the north of the planet Mars in the eastern and south-eastern sky before dawn.’

This is included from a mainly aesthetic (looks nice), amateur scientific, mildly pagan ancient wisdom angle, rather than any later religions.
